Tomasina Paratore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tomasina Paratore, 95 of Flushing, New York, on February 18, 2025.Tomasina was born on September 21, 1929 to Antonia and Dominick Puliafito in New York City, New York. Tomasina married the love of her life, Anthony on September 27, 1952.

She was a loving mother to Carmelo, Antonina, Dominick, Anthony and her daughter-in-law Victoria. Grandmother to Tomasina (David), Anthony, Frankie (Karen). Great-Grandmother to Abby and Paige Noelle. Affectionately known to all who loved her as Grandma Macy. She will be remembered for her constant caring, compassion and concern for everyone she held dear, always putting their needs before her own.

Her happiest times were spent in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals for her family and friends, and making sure everyone always had more than enough to eat.

And just how the song goes…. This beautiful, strong, loving woman lived her life until the very end on her terms. She did it “My Way”!

The family of Tomasina Paratore will be receiving visitors on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Frederick Funeral Home,192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, February 21, 2025 at 9:45 AM at Mary's Nativity - St. Ann Parish, 4602 Parsons Blvd, New York, NY 11355. An interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd, New York, NY 11377.
