A lifetime of memories of Winnie and her visits home to Ireland, the excitement!! Winnie was so kind, funny and always full of joy & laughter enjoyed nothing more than catching up with family and taking care of those who in their turn visited Flushing was something that delighted her.  She will be missed by us all, her cards & letters, she never missed an occasion. Heaven has gained an angel & good company awaits her there . Farwell dear Winnie, a sad day for us all today with not having you in our lives, but so many happy memories as well.
 From the first day that you arrived in Drimacoo; a beautiful baby, full of fun and mischief. Growing up it was always a joy being around you.  Especially the nights you spent in Clogher during the school holidays, laughing late into the night with all the silly stories. 
Then when we grew up the excitement of travel down from Canada to meet up with you when you first came out to New York. 
Later visiting you, Mike and your lovely children, you did so much in this life and was loved by everyone. 
I hope you are happy in heaven with your dear Mum and Dad and the rest of the family.

Such wonderful memories of Winnie, from very early in Ireland to visits to Flushing where I was so welcomed, 
The dining table as the centre of chat, often to very early hours, telling stories from years ago, laughing all the way. 
Thank you for making me feel like one of the family, when I was in Camp in Connecticut parcels arrived regularly with ‘essentials’ bug spray, Hershey’s, stamps for letters home and the all important  letter! I felt I had a home away from home. 
I feel privileged to have spent time with such a beautiful soul. Heaven has gained an angel. 
Rest now Winnie, you worked so hard throughout your life.

So sad to hear of Winnie's passing. I have such fond memories of my trips to NY and visiting Winnie and Mike. I remember joining the family for Thanksgiving Day dinner and being made to feel so welcome.  Winnie was so warm and kind, with a heart of gold.

It is with great sadness we heard of  Winnie's passing. Mum (Cathy) often reminisced of childhood and crossing the fields to Drimacoo to visit Auntie Bridget and Peter when Winnie was a little toddler.
I remember the excitement when a visit to Percy Road in Romford was anticipated by Winnie while in London, the laughter and chat was great to be part of and the taste of american chocolate was unique to us children!

Aunt Winnie was very good to me when I joined Vincent's family.  She always went out of her way to make me feel welcome and included.  I really appreciate that.  I will miss her.  She was really such a wonderful and sweet woman, but also tough as nails.    

My heart goes out to all of you and I'm very sorry for your loss. Aunt Winnie will be missed!  

Vincent will be representing our family.  I have some sort of flu. I couldn't make it, but I'm with you all in spirit.  May your memories bring you comfort in your grief.

I remember my afternoons spent at the O’Grady house with great fondness.  Anne and I would come home from school and Mrs. O’Grady would always be there to greet us.  She would run and get us glasses of iced tea and sit with us while we told her about our day.  She and Mr. O’Grady treated me as one of their own children, always just as interested in what I had to say.  Mrs. O’Grady always had snacks and food on hand and would serve them to us while we sat on the couch.  She laughed at our stories and made us laugh with her comments on them.  We were usually joined by Michael, Brigid and John and we would all sit and talk for a while.  I’m sure she was busy doing other things, but she never made us feel like she had anything else to do.  She often drove me home even though my bus stop was only 2 blocks away and she was busy preparing dinner.  She was one of the kindest moms I ever met, and I still (all these years later) talk about times I spent with the O’Grady family, remembering funny stories and how much love was in that house, and how much I loved to be there.  Mrs. O’Grady worked hard her whole life; I hope she now rests in peace.  

So many happy memories of the parties in Drimacoo when Winnie would come home from America. Her laughter, fun and good humour when she visited Clogher will remain with me always.

She is happy in heaven today with Bridget and Peter and her cousins Martin and Mary Ellen.

So sad to hear of Winnies passing. I spent many happy evenings with Mike, Winnie and the family during my time in New York. She looked after me as one of her own. She was a very special and loving person and I have so many happy memories of my time in Flushing - Micheal.

Wonderful memories of spending summer days at the O'Grady residence. Winnie would feed us and encourage us to enjoy ourselves. Always loving and kind, Winnie could make anyone feel comfortable, she was a kind soul and I will always remember her smile, laugh while she would encourage us to eat more. Winnie had a heart of gold and so much love to share. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to experience some of that love. Rest in Peace.

I will always remember the support that Winnie and Mike gave my Mother and I when we visited them  in September of 2011. Mom was on her journey and I knew in my hearts of hearts that it was going to be her last visit to the US. The support, generosity and welcome given to us during that visit by Winnie and Mike has stayed with me ever since and stand out as a shining example of family. Rest in peace Winnie, you will be forever in my prayers.
