
Was a resident of Kew Gardens, NY. He was born in Richmond Hill, NY to
Bella and Louis Adler and was one of four children. He is survived by his
former wife, his daughters, and his three grandchildren, sister and brother.
Aaron Adler was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Aaron Adler graduated from Baruch College with a Bachelor’s degree and
studied Industrial Psychology. He worked for 38 years for the International
Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU) as Benefits Counselor. Following
that, he worked for ten more years at the Garment Industry Development
Corp (GIDC) as a Director of Job Development and Placement.
He dedicated his support and empathy towards the garment workers and
loved helping people.
Aaron loved music and played clarinet with the Laurelton Symphony
Orchestra. In addition, he wrote a comedy column for his high school
newspaper and continued to write poems for family and friends throughout
his life.
Aaron loved books, film, theater, and music. He was an active community
member who created, and organized 100 music shows for the community.
Aaron Adler received a Proclamation for his service to the community. He
enjoyed talking about politics and trying to understand all sides while
remaining strong in his convictions.
Aaron Adler dedicated his life to spending time with his family, and he
adored his grandchildren. Aaron Adler’s family was most important to him.
He cherished his family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and community.
He believed in being kind and gracious to everyone and sought to help in
any way he could.
Aaron Adler believed in accepting all people for who they are and hoped
that people would continue helping one another; emotionally, socially and
politically.
