God said “It’s time to come home my child.” Alice answered “I am ready Lord!” Our beloved mother and grandmother Alice Marie Motley made her transition to her heavenly home on Friday, April 3, 2020 after a brief illness.
Alice was born in Chesterfield County, Virginia on February 7, 1929 to the parents of the late Joshua Alexander Taylor and the late Hattie Mae Washington. She was preceded in death by her step mother Helen May Diggs Taylor, a son Paul Alexander Deloatch, Jr and a husband Henry Junius Motley. Alice leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Gwen Elizabeth Reese (Garry) of Newnan, Georgia; a son Glenn Edward Motley of Chester, Virginia; a devoted granddaughter Alexa Raye Battle of Richmond, Virginia and other grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge the extended family (staff) of the Madison York Assisted Living of Corona, New York and the staff of the Elmhurst Care Center of East Elmhurst, New York.
