Artie was a long respected customer of Gilmour / Davidson  Supply.  He and his wife were on multiple rewards trips. He was a great story telller and very knowledgeable on several topics. Arty and I with our wives were having dinner in Rome with our wives and several other couples. Arty saw this guy sitting by himself in the corner who we later found out was actor Vincent  Spinelli , the subway ghost in the movie ghost. Arty got up and sat with him for more than 45 minutes and found out he retired in Italy and went to the  same HS as Arty.  It was typical of him striking up conversations with anyone and finding they had something in common!

We are so so sad to hear the news about Arthur, he was a gentleman of the highest degree. We had many fun times together and no matter how difficult the challenge was, he always stepped up to meet the challenge and always kept his word. Arthur was a true friend and please accept our deepest condolences to all the family members for their incredible loss, please know that he and his family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Artie And I Got to work very closely, Very often,

And Artie Liked All Of His Work To Look Very Clear And Profesional !

  But where Artie really shines, Is when we had our Thanksgiving Parties, And Christmas Parties, And CitiField Baseball Outings, Along With Tail Gate Parties Before The Mets Games !

Artie Loved To Be With All Of His Employees To Have Fun !

And Artie Was Always Respectful And Professional With All Of Us !


And Artie really Loved to have his Wife Linda, By his side, At all of these Wonderful, Beautiful Occasions !


 And at the same time, Artie was able to train his 4 Children; Deborah, Virginia, Dina, And Gabriel, Who I Also worked very closely with all of them, To learn the Business and to Adopt His Professional Ways,


 We will all miss Artie, But his Memories will last in all of our Thoughts Forever !

Artie!!!! What a guy. A constant in my sister Marilyn’s life and spun off into mine. I think Marilyn was a teenager and me a littler teenager when she met him at a disco called Elifis. (?) He was ALWAYS KIND with a fantastic sense of humor. Always a warm hearted presence. I KNOW he’s continuing life’s adventures in heaven as he made the most of every day.  See ya later Artie. 😇

Sending our love from us all in NZ - to such a beautiful family - for the loss of our friend. A best friend to our late Uncle Gary, with whom he shared some most epic adventures  **Rest easy now - with the thought, he is now sitting with Gary and others, enjoying catching up, surrounded by our loved ones we no longer see but feel around us all the time!

I was deeply saddened to hear of Arties's passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. He was always the kind of person who could be counted on to show up when it mattered most. His strength and reliability have made a lasting impact on me and my family.

My deepest condolences to the family.  I met Artie in 1979 a true gentleman & businessman. We will all miss him. Still so young. He used to give dollars to all the young kids at the PJ Mechanical Christmas parties. He was the Jewish Santa to us all!!! God bless & may he rest in peace. 🙌

I met Artie when I was 19-20 years old. The beginning of Ashlar Mechanical working out of his living room office in Astoria. 
He was such a kind person, sharing his knowledge with me and giving me the confidence to have a successful career in the construction industry.  I know he was taken too soon and will be missed by many, blessed was I to be able to see and speak with him 4 years ago and to personally thank him for the knowledge and support he demonstrated to me during our working relationship.
May God comfort his family and loved ones among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

I was truly heartbroken to hear Artie has ended his journey here on earth. He was such an amazing person, one of a kind. I'm going to really miss him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this incredibly difficult time. 

I pray the Lord be your comfort and strength, may you find solace in the precious memories he has left us with.
