Dorothy Jane Silverberg passed away on December 15 after a courageous battle with cancer. She recently relocated from Jamaica, New York to Homosassa, Florida. She was blessed to have had two wonderful marriages. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Holmes and her second husband, Henry Silverberg who passed away in 2013. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl Anderson and Stella Malinowski and her brother, Carl Anderson and sister Barbara Savino Maliha. She is survived by two nieces, Sharon Sager of Scotia, NY and Debra Holcomb of Schenectady, NY. She is also survived by several cousins, Bertha Watson of Homosassa, FL, Peggy Burns, Ocala, FL, Carol Schneider, NJ and Pat Valenza, Brooklyn, NY.
Her family would like to thank Hospice of Citrus County, FL and the aides from Health Matters, Spring Hill, FL. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at 12:00 noon at Schwartz Brothers Jeffer Meorial Chapels located in Forest Hills, NY. Following service, interment will be at Pinelawn National Cemetery.
