Edith S. Cohn

Edith Cohn, age 97, of Queens NY, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026. She was born on July 1st,1928 in the Bronx NY and lived a long fulfilling life which centered around her family. She was a feisty strong willed woman who was deeply devoted to those she loved in her life. Her greatest happiness was being with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In the last two years of her life she faced the challenges of dementia.Though the illness changed many things, it never took away the love she had for those very special people she held near and dear to her.

Edith is survived by her loving husband Alfred of 76 years, her daughter Marcy Sackett and her husband Jeff Sackett ; her daughter Lydia Cohn and her partner Steve Nathan; her son Roy Cohn and his wife Robyn Cohn; and her daughter Sharon Cohn and her husband Steve Campbell. She was a devoted grandmother to Elise; Jaime and her husband Ashley; Daniel and his wife Ali; Jackie and her husband Josh; Todd and his wife Carolyn; Rachel and her fiance Cam; Zach and Zoe. She was also blessed with 8 great-grandchildren: Judah, Logan, Lilly, Dylan, Levi, Harrison, Naomi and Levi.

Edith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit, strength, and love for family will live on in the hearts of those she left behind.

A funeral service will be held on March 26th, 2026 at 1130am at Sinai Chapels
