Loving wife of the late Hon. Maurice Harbater. Devoted mother of David and Stephen Harbater. Daughter of Nathan and Regina Haber (deceased). Had a long career in the New York legal and judicial systems, including work that was with her husband when he was in private practice, and with other lawyers and judges.
Volunteered for many years as a clown to entertain children with disabilities.Other volunteering included serving as a Cub Scout den mother and writing the newsletter for the local Democratic Club. Enjoyed hiking, fishing, and traveling widely with her husband.
A funeral service for Marilyn will be held Monday, February 24, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM at Mount Hebron Cemetery, 130-04 Horace Harding Expy, New York, NY 11367.
