To the Ellner family,

I remember many lovely visits with Mr. Ellner at Kenny's house in Atlanta. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a quick wit! 

In particular, I fondly recall being part of your family's Passover seder where Mr. Ellner shared his  story of survival during the holocaust. 

What a wonderful life he led and what an amazing legacy he leaves.

When I think of Mr. Ellner all I do is smile at the memory of how charming he was and the way he lived his life to the fullest. He will be missed. May his memory be a blessing for all who loved him.

 My dear family, it is realy a very very sad moment especially to you but also to my family and me .
I really would like to be with you at this moment .
 
I do not have a visa to the USA so it is not possible to arrive to the Funeral....
 
Mortzy as we used to call him was a man that has been past many  amazing events, tregedies from the old days on the Holocost.
But he was a man of many successes as creation of amazing warm family with Roda, the 4 boys and all the grandchildrens, doing so well in business and be an interesting person to speak with about any subject .
I always enjoyed speaking with him by phone and hear his love to ISRAEL. He new to ask the right questions and was so aware to the things that happens in Israel.
 
I remember you my unkle as a so generous person. 
I also won't forget our phone conversation during one of the wars that were in Israel and that you told me that you have in your pocket a photo of my son as a soldier and you are proud.
 
Mortzy , you were blessed to have all of your family around you on your 90th birthday, surrounded with so much love.
 
I feel very,very  sad today....
 
Roda , I wish you and sure that the good family will do all that is possible to be with you now and later during the hard days . and, I know that the memorises of the many many years of happy friendship and love keeps you this day.
 
May God console you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and know no more sorrow add.

My Father was a great man, who despite the devastation of the Holocaust lived an incredibly full and impactful life. I am proud to be one of his four sons, and aspire to accomplish as a Father and as a man even a portion of what he did. That is an incredibly high bar, but I promise him I will do my best to do so and to honor his memory.
