

Glenda Faye Burney was born on June 9, 1946 in Gadsden, Alabama, to the late Charles Louis Burney, and Claudine Pinson Burney. She was an honor student at Carver High School, class of 1964. She also attended and graduated from the City of Memphis Nursing School in June 1966. Glenda worked for Piedmont Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist Specialist until her recent retirement. She donated regularly for several charities, and very actively involved in church, and the community. A former Sunday School teacher for many years at Greater Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. She also served on the Missionary Nursing Home Team at her recent church, Living Faith Tabernacle. Glenda leaves to cherish her beautiful memories with her two Daughters, Ms. Sherri Ellis (Atlanta, GA), and Ms. Sadara Latrice Jackson (Atlanta, Ga); Sister - Ms. Wilma Hunter Maye (Gadsden, Ala); Niece - Ms. Daphyne Maye Hall (Gadsden, Ala); Grandchildren - Tiffany Ellis (Sherri's daughter), Makiya Faye Jackson and Noah Miles Jackson (Sadara's daughter and son) She will also be remembered by several cousins, relatives, and many special friends all over the country including the Forest Park Community, and a wonderful church family at Living Faith Tabernacle.
