John Dewey Mills Sr.

John Dewey Mills, Sr., age 86 passed away at his Locust Grove home Wednesday, April 6, 2011 after a courageous battle. Mr. Mills was a United States Army veteran with 4 years of service, worked 33 years for Ford Motor Company and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Warren Mills and 2 brothers, Aaron Mills and Milton Mills. He is survived by his son, John D. (Ellen) Mills, Jr. of Locust Grove.; daughters, Ann Barnes of Panama City Beach, FL and Chris (Kenneth) Worrell of Douglasville; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday April, 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Parkway Garden Chapel with Rev. Ray Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park. Family will receive friends Friday, April 8, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Mills was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
