Robert Breedlove

Mr. Robert Breedlove of Atlanta, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the age of 91. Mr. Breedlove was born on July 9, 1920 in Stanford KY to the late Thomas and Mattie Breedlove. He grew up in Bedford Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army as a Medical Corpsman. He truly loved his country and proudly flew his American flag daily. Mr. Breedlove retired from the City of Atlanta Traffic and Engineering Dept. after 31 years of service. Mr. Breedlove loved his family, friends, and his Country. He was a devoted husband and father. Mr. Breedlove enjoyed “tinkering” in his backyard workshop.

His beloved wife of 57 years, Mrs. Ada Frances Breedlove preceded him in death in March 2009. He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Smith and her husband Joe. He is also survived by one brother, Edward Breedlove of Indianapolis, Indiana and one sister, Eva Burgess of Bedford Indiana; two Grandsons, Gregory Smith of Madison, GA and Alan Smith of Doraville GA; 2 Great Granddaughters Ariel and Allyson.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 4th from 5 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Friday, August 5th at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Parkway Garden Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro.
