Terence James Daniel O’Connor, known to friends and family as Terry, passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 76.
He was the beloved son of Ruth and Emmett O’Connor, and a caring father to Kathleen, Ryan (Robin), Corey, Jennifer, and Chuck. He was a proud and loving Papa to Sophia, Owen, Emma, Elliott, Hayley, Nicholas, Lilly, Jayden, Keegan, Caleb, Noah, Delaney, Morgan, Millicent, Marshall, and Courtland, each of whom brought him great joy.
Terry served during the Vietnam War and later retired from General Motors after 32 years of dedicated service.
He was a lively spirit who loved to celebrate—attending “truck-ins” and van shows, where he won several top trophies for his custom van styling. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time by the pool, and being out on the water. He was also faithful to his community, serving for several years as a custodian at All Saints Anglican Church.
The family wishes to acknowledge his devoted friend, Tony, who helped care for Terry in his final moments.
Terry will be remembered for his deep dedication to family, his adventurous spirit, and the love and joy he shared so freely with those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to Benner Funeral Services on Saturday April 11th, from 3pm to 5pm to honour his life.
