Amanda Shirley Boon

Amanda Shirley Boon, aged 24 years passed away in Toronto, Ontario on Friday August 18, 2017. She was born on June 2, 1993 in Fort Frances, Ontario. Amanda lived in Stratton, Ontario and later moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario where she completed high school. She was always very social and creative and loved both music and the arts, with a passion for fashion design. She later graduated from George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario with a Diploma in Fashion Merchandising. She was currently employed at a fashion boutique in Toronto where she resided for the past four years. Amanda lived life to the fullest and was never afraid to try something new. She will always be loved and missed by her family and friends.

The family includes her parents Richard and Cheryl Boon of Thunder Bay, Ont., brother Jason Boon of Casselman, Ont., sister Jennifer and Dale McDonald and their daughter Madison of Thunder Bay, Ont., paternal grandparents Peter and Annie Boon of Fort Frances, Ont., aunt Cathy and husband Ray Ash of Fort Frances, Ont. and their children Billy and Jessica, uncles Brad Carlson and wife Janice of Fort Frances, Ont. and their children Jon and Courtney, Joe Gladu of Winnipeg, Man. and his children Daniel and wife Alexis, Nicholas and Daly, and Lucas, John Boon of Thunder Bay, Ont. and his children Ari and Alexandra and their mother Paula, Fred Boon of Fort Frances, Ont., Pete Boon and wife Doreen of Winnipeg, Man., and Paul and Christopher Boon of Fort Frances, Ont.

Amanda was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Kenneth and Shirley Carlson, uncle Hank Boon, and aunt Annie Gladu.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ontario. Reverend Brian Keffer will officiate with interment in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit at Green Funeral Home on Thursday August 24, 2017 from 7 until 8:30 p.m.

Active pallbearers will be Brad Carlson, John Boon, Pete Boon, Jason Boon, Ray Ash, and Chris Boon. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Boon and Paul Boon.
