

It is with sadness the family of Earl Herbert Lockman, announce his passing on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at LaVerendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario. After a battle with cancer.
Earl was born July 3, 1950 in Fort Frances, Ontario to Herbert and Ruth Lockman. After high school, Earl had small jobs at Whole foods and labour on CN until 1975 he joined the paper mill and worked in the wood room. On July 25, 1987 he was united in marriage to the former Nancy Wolden. Earl worked 30 years in the paper mill and retired 2006. Earl was an avid woodworker and loved building furniture for family and friends.It was a good thing his garage was heated because he spent alot of time in there. He also liked to go out on Rainy Lake and fish with wife Nancy and was happiest in his boat fishing. A part of his life was also devoted to A.A. as a member, in attending Friday night meetings, and going out for coffee afterwards with the guys. The coffee guys were still taking Earl out for coffee up to a few week before his death.
Earl will be greatly missed and remembered by his wife, Nancy Lockman; two daughters, Angela (Dave) Petsnick, Corrina (Trevor) Fitzgerald , and one son Jamie Lockman (Allison) all of Fort Frances, ON.; eight grandchildren, Ellie and Grace Petsnick, Emily and Mark Fitzgerald, and Ivy, Jagger, Lita and Vai Lockman; one sister, Doreen (Don) Perry of Thunder Bay, ON., one sister-in-law, Joy Lockman of Fort Frances, ON. and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Ruth Lockman and one brother, Garth Lockman.
Cremation has taken place at Rainy River Cremation Services in International Falls, Minnesota.
A come and go tea will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Inurnment will take place at LaVerendrye Columbarium, Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances, Ontario at a later date.
