
He was pre-deceased by his wife Marie Campbell (nee Lyons); his parents Walter and Christine Campbell (nee Carpenter); his sister Mabel and husband Albert Hollander; sister Debbie and husband Peter Penner; brother Gordon Campbell and wife Cora; brother Donald Campbell and his wife Irene; and brother-in-law George Taylor and one neice Lynn Joy Chatfield (nee Campbell).
Ed is survived by one daughter, Barbara Rousseau and husband Gerry, their children(Ed’s Grandchildren), Jason Rousseau and Melissa Clinton (nee Rousseau) and Great-Grandaughters Samantha and Cassidy Clinton. Ed is also survived by siblings Jean Taylor of Thunder Bay, ON and brother Kenneth Campbell of Winnipeg MB as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed was born in Sundown MB on February 17, 1921. He was employed by CN Railways and has enjoyed being retired for many years. He loved his family and he loved socializing with his many friends. His family was musically inclined and during family holiday get-togethers, there was always lots of music and lots of good food enjoyed by everyone.
Ed was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 for 57 years, the Fort Frances Elks Lodge #313 for 61 years and the Moose Lodge in International Falls, MN for 29 years. Ed proudly served his country during WW II.
At the families’ request, cremation will take place and there will be a graveside service on Monday, December 30 at 2:00 P.M. at the Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances. Friends and family are welcome to attend. There will be a luncheon at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29 following the service.
