Glenna Mary Rowland

Glenna Mary Rowland, age 88 years, of Rainycrest Long Term Care, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ontario, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, November 29. 2010.

She was born September 23, 1922 in Fort Frances, Ontario to the late Edward and Verna Jerry.

On January 20, 1956, Glenna was united in marriage to Herbert Douglas Rowland. Herbert and Glenna lived in Crozier for many years. Glenna waitressed for many years at the New Lunch Café. One of her favourite passions in life was shopping. She was well known to all the local retailers. We will miss her wit and humor.

Glenna is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Rowland on Jan. 2, 1984.

A special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Rainycrest for helping Glenna make the best of her last years.

In accordance with Glenna’s wishes there will be no funeral service.

At Glenna’s request, cremation has taken place at Rainy River Cremation Services in International Falls, Minnesota. Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances, Ontario at a later date.
