Jennifer Margaret Perreault

It is is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jennifer Perreault a wonderful mom, sister, grandmother,daughter,auntie and friend. With family at her side she fought a good fight against cancer, but succumbed to her illness Monday April 2, 2012 at 2:00 am. She will be lovingly missed by her children Mary Lorraine Johnson, Steve Johnson and wife Christina and Leonard Johnson all from Thunder Bay, her sister Laurie Perreault from Sault St. Marie brothers Brian Perreault and wife Virginia from Edson Alberta, Clint Perreault from St. Helen's Oregon and Milton Perreault and wife Angie from Portland, Oregon, her father Carl Perreault (Jake) and wife Jane from St. Helen's, she will also be missed by her grandson Conner Johnson, granddaughter's Anna, Abigail and Stevie Johnson, numerous nieces, nephews and special friend's Esther Borg and Lee Hardy. Adopted family Cathy Creighton and her children Sterling Meshake, Dakota Meshake and Fawn Meshake. She was predeceased by her mother Doris Lorraine Perreault née Bruyere and other family caregivers too numerous to mention.

Jennifer's favorite past times were doing arts and crafts and attending dance's especially when her son Steve and his wife Christina were the DJ's. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and sister Laurie, when they were together there was always good laughs all around. She loved her job at Beendigan it brought her a lot of joy working there and being able to help out other woman who had similar beginnings here in Thunder Bay. Her illness kept her from doing a lot these last few months but she was able to see her granddaughter's first couple of hockey practices which she really enjoyed and was proud of all her grandchildren whom she spoke of fondly. She also enjoyed attending Tuesday night arts and crafts at the Norwest Health Center where they really love her bannock.

She will be sadly missed and remembered by her family and all the people whose hearts she has touched.

A traditional wake will be held on Wednesday April 4 from 3:30 p.m. at the Couchiching First Nation Multi Use Facility.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Multi Use Facility at Couchiching First Nation.

Honorary pallbearers are Anna Johnson, Conner Johnson, Abigail Johnson, Stevie Johnson, Sterling Meshake, Dakota Meshake and Fawn Meshake

A memorial service will also be held in Thunder Bay on Monday April 9th at 7:00 pm at Kateri church for friends who cannot make the trip to Couchiching.
