

It is with great sadness, to announce the passing of our dear mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Jo-Anne Moore, 65 years of Fort Frances, Ontario. She passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Saturday December 18, 2010 with her family by her side, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Jo-Anne was born on September 30, 1945 in Fort Frances to the late Louis and Josette Perrault. She was also predeceased by her brothers Ted, Randy, Brian, Rudolph, along with her sisters Darlene, and Caroline, nephews Teddy Jr., and Preston Perrault.
She is survived by her children: Bill, Anita (John) Norwood, Ontario, Daniel (Debbie) Fort Frances, Roberta, Calgary, Alberta, Michelle (Barry) Fort Frances, Joanna (Lee) Fort Frances, and Jim, (Winnipeg, Manitoba).
She is also survived by her siblings: Jerry Perrault (Manitoulin Island), Sidney Perrault (Superior, Wisconsin), Keith Perrault (Fort Frances), Leslie Perrault (Toronto), Darrel Perrault (Thunder Bay), and Sister Eleanor Lockman (Fort Frances). She is survived by her Aunt Dorothy Cargill (Fort Frances) and Uncle Patrick Perrault (Kenora, Ontario). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Joanne worked at various tourist camps starting at a young age. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, knitting, being with friends and family, listening to country music, loved to be on the lake, and all outdoor activities. She was known for her quick wit and good sense of humour.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Natawance, Brad Windego, Chris Mainville, Clayton Windego, Robert Perreault and Gilbert Perreault. Honourary pallbearers will be Jerry Perreault, Keith Perrault, Sidney Perrault, Leslie Perrault, Darrel Perreault, Marcella Desrosiers, and Logan Morrisseau.
A traditional wake will be held on Wednesday December 22, 2010 at Couchiching First Nation at the Multiplex Building, starting at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Couchiching First Nation at the Multiplex Building with Gilbert Smith officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
