

Forever cherishing his memory remains, his daughter Catherine Kellar (Ross Quirie), son Keith Kellar (Tammy); grandchildren Kenneth Kellar, Katelyn Quirie (Jared Pursaga), Jillian Kellar, and Rikki Kellar. Ken was the second of nine children and his siblings, Earl (Jean), Irene, Jim (Yvonne), Helen (Ray), Harold (Karen), Audrey (Jim), Betty (Glen), and Dorothy will all remember him lovingly. His sister-in-law, Joyce (Jack) McLellan always remember the time spent with Ken and Dixie. He remains a part of the memories of his numerous nephews and nieces.
Ken was predeceased by his loving wife Dixie, infant son David, his parents Cecil and Mildred Kellar and brothers- in-laws Alan and Darrel.
Born in LaVallee on the family farm, he then spent most of his childhood in Devlin after the family moved. Ken possessed a great love for all of God’s creatures, especially horses and cats. His love of the great outdoors is evident in his favourite stories about time spent working with horses in the “bush” harvesting wood in the traditional fashion. Other passions included gardening, time spent at the cabin on Black Sturgeon Bay and his family.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at the Zion Lutheran Church, 1105 Scott St. Fort Frances, ON on Saturday April 9, 2016 at11:00 a.m. presided over by friend and Pastor Brian Keffer.
Pallbearers will be Ken’s grandchildren, Kenneth Kellar, Katelyn Quirie, Jillian Kellar and Rikki Kellar.
A private family interment to be performed at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Riverside Foundation for Health Care both in Fort Frances, Ontario in care of Green Funeral Home, Box 427, Fort Frances, Ontario P9A 3M8
