Lillian Calder

Mom was born in Gaspe, Que. on Oct 18, 1924 to Gladys and James Lucas. Lil was one of 13 children.

Lil and Stan (Beaver) met in Montreal, when he was stationed there with the army. They married Feb. 15,1946 and made their home in Fort Frances, Ont., where they raised their five children.

Lil was predeceased by her husband on Jan. 1, 1995.

Mom will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her children, Stan (Vicki) and Bryan (Giselle) of Fort Frances, Ont., Judy (Dennis) Deschamps of Logan Lake, B.C., Janice (Steve) Miller of Spruce Head, Maine, and Troy (Jen) of Fort Frances, Ont.

As well, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren will miss her dearly.

She also will be missed by her brothers, Cyril and Guy; sisters, Mabel and Reta; and sister-in-law, Elsie Dupuis.

Lil cherished her time spent with Val, Raymond, and family.

Mom looked forward to spring when she could get out for long walks, as well as do some gardening and yard work on Phair Avenue.

Mom especially loved the time spent with family, friends, and sharing memories.

In respect of mom’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.

God saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb,

So he closed your weary eyelids

And whispered, “Peace be thine.”
