

Howard was born on November 14, 1946 in Mine Centre, ON to Harold and Frances Brown. He worked as a Community Health Representative for Lac La Croix First Nation retiring in 2005. He worked for over 25 years for the community, devoting his service to the health and wellbeing of the community. On February 2, 1980 he was united in marriage to Audrey Atatise. After retirement he spent his summers camping, hunting, fishing and his winters watching Martial Art movies. He had earned his black belt in Taekwondo.
He loved his family deeply, doting on his children and grandchildren and spending time with his extended family as well. He was a kind, generous and helpful to everyone.
He leaves behind his wife Audrey, Daughter Danielle, Son Brent; grandchildren Jordan Brown, Damion Morrison, Tatum Decker, Kya Decker, Rayanne Atatise and Aiden Davenport; brothers Anthony Brown and Edmund Councillor; extended family Gladys (Billy) Geyshick, Robert (Debbie) Atatise, Rick (Peggy) Atatise, Priscilla Atatise, Lester Atatise, Phylis (Richard) Pierson, Brian (Manon) Atatise, Doreen (Ron) Skinaway and Roland Atatise as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Frances Brown; daughter Adrienne Brown, siblings Darlene, Evelyn, Frances Jr and Randy.
A wake will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2012 from 2 p.m. at the Brown Residence at Lac La Croix First Nation followed by a traditional service on Thursday, December 13, 2012.
Interment will take place in Lac La Croix First Nation.
The pallbearers will be Duane Ottertail, Ralph Ottertail Jr., Les Whitefish, Barry Whitefish, Stacey Whitefish, Freddy Ottertail, Roger Morrison and Daniel Geyshick Jr.
