Little Feather Linklater-Tom (Miskwaanakwad). Patrishah, or “Tai”, returned to the spirit world with
family by her side on January 14th, 2019 in Thunder Bay, ON. at the tender age of 31.
Tai was born on January 8th, 1988 in Thunder Bay, ON. and was from Couchiching First Nation.
Sadly, she leaves behind five beautiful children, Migizi, Jesse, Mariah, Daniel, and Naizayah; her
momma, Jackie Linklater; dad, Larry Friday; sisters, Espirit, Feather, Wynter, Falcon, and Tabetha; and brothers, WindDancer and Larry. She was so very proud of her children and strived to be the best
mother she could be. She always took the time to share her knowledge of cultural teachings with our Creator’s loaned gifts, her amazing children.
She was beautiful, strong, courageous, had a fierce sense of humor and was never shy to share what
was on her mind. Tai enjoyed joking around and laughing with family and friends, watching her many nieces and nephews grow up and dishing out the occasional can of whoop ass.
As a child, Tai would always love to spend the weekends visiting with our gramma, Maria, and
cousin, Emily, both predeceased. Tai and Emily were best friends and were also called gramma's
“tails”. They were always happy to go with gramma to church, powwows, craft sales or where ever
she needed to go.
Tai also had a soft spot for her dad, Larry. She admired and adored him as they had a special bond
like no other. She is greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Let us remember her for her beauty,
hilarious jokes and for always helping others.
Tai was predeceased by her grandparents, Maria and Alphonse Linklater; her adoptive grandparents ,
whom she held dearly in her heart, Bud and Jessie Friday; uncle, Joe Linklater; first cousins/sisters,
Emily and Sasheen Linklater; her nephew, Jackson Linklater-Copenace and her great grandparents of
the Linklater/Desrosier family. They await with open arms for our “Red Cloud” (Miskwaanakwad).
Pallbearers were Larry Linklater, Damon Linklater-Green, Charlie Patenaude, George Echum, Rodney
Geyshick and family and friends.
A traditional wake was held on January 17th, 2019 at 6pm followed by a traditional funeral service on January 18th, 2019 at 10am at the Couchiching First Nation Multi-Use Facility officiated by Elder
Gilbert Smith. She was laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery on Couchiching First Nation.
