

Phyllis was born on September 6, 1962 in Fort Frances, ON to George and Dolly Councillor. She worked for the Naicatchewenin First Nation Band for many years. She enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Phyllis was an outgoing person who had a natural ability to make people laugh. She was a kind soul that was willing to help out anyone.
She leaves behind her husband Donald; children Nathaniel Councillor, Riel Councillor (Kristen), Lynnette Vogel (Jeremy) and George Councillor (Courtney); grandchildren Tyrell, Nate, Taytum, Boden, Taylor, Avalee, Jasper, Kato, Brexton and Leighton ; brothers Gary Councillor (Lisa) and Darryl Councillor (Sharon) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents George and Dolly and sister Geraldine Courchene.
A vistiation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, ON.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 9 a.m. at Naicatchewenin First Nation Gymnasium with Elder Gilbert Smith officiating.
The honourary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
