

He was born on March 20, 1974 in Fort Frances, ON to Clifford and Queen Whitefish. He was raised in Lac La Croix First Nation. He left at the age of 18 and moved to Toronto. He was a gifted poet, a song writer, performer and wanted to be an actor. He returned to Lac La Croix First Nation every few years to visit his family and friends.
Ramsey leaves behind his parents Clifford and Queen Whitefish; brothers Les, Barry, Delbert and Stacy; sisters Dorothy (Curtis) and Roberta ; his daughter and grandsons Evander and Nolan as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his brothers Ken Ottertail and Norman Whitefish and grandson Noah.
A traditional service will be held at the Whitefish Home in Lac La Croix First Nation on Wednesday May 25, 2016 with burial on Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Lac La Croix First Nation.
The pallbearers will be Blair Whitefish, Chris Ottertail, Trion Jourdain, Frank Jordan Jr., Darren Ottertail and Jonathan Ottertail.
