Marie was born on August 25, 1932 in Stratton, Ontario to the late William and Ruth Bell.
Marie’s life was devoted to her children. She raised them single handedly and taught them to be loving, understanding and forgiving.
She was a Sunday School teacher for several years and a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. She made beautiful crafts which she often donated for fundraisers. Family and friends could always expect special homemade gifts from Marie.
After raising her children she worked at LaVerendrye General Hospital for 20 plus years. Retirement made time to enjoy her world-wide travels with her good friends Queenie, Elsie and Irene. She also spent as much time as possible visiting her children and their families. There was nothing she loved more than holding a new grandchild. She loved family gatherings, making memories with laughter, joy and fun.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Judy (Tim), Ken, Don (Susan) and Barb, her grandchildren Jeff, Lisa (Al), Brian (Jen), David (Kaily), Amanda (Matt) and Dustin (Ali), and her great grandchildren Alex (Ashley), Justin, Katelynn, William, Keira, Avery and Simon.
Marie also leaves behind her sister Pat, brothers Ivan (Marilyn) and David (Dianne) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Ruth Bell, brother Gordon, brother-in-law Jack, sister-in-law Betty-Anne, son-in-law Mickey.
