Shannon Morrison

It is with great sadness that the family of Shannon Morrison announce her passing on Tuesday, November 20, 2013 at the Falls Memorial Hospital.

She was born on December 18, 1973 in Lac La Croix First Nation to Albert and June Morrison. She lived in Lac La Croix most of her life, moving to International Falls in 1998. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her visits with her children and grandchildren. She liked attending Pow Wows and hunting deer.

Shannon leaves behind her siblings Dennis (Roseanne) Sr., Darlene, Roger, David (Arlene), Jeff (Crystal), Sharon, Kimberly, Albert (Michelle) and JoyAnne (Dave); partner Mike Sadewasser; children Christine Ottertail (Brian), Jason Ottertail Jr., Felicia Morrison- Sadewasser, Dylan Sadewasser, Kayla Ernest, Brandon Ernest and Madison Sadewasser; grandchildren Malik and Malizay as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by her parents; grandparents Clara and George Ottertail, Ida Morrison aand Gilbert Oshawe; aunt Janet Oshawe; uncles Ernest Ottertail, Clarence Oshawe and Angus Oshawe.

A wake will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 1 p.m. at the Round House at Lac La Croix First Nation, a traditional burial service will follow on Sunday, November 24, 2013.

The pallbearers will be Shannon’s family and friends.
