She was united in marriage to Peter Ballan on February 26, 1949.
Sophie was predeceased by her parents; husband Pete on December 24, 2016; son Peter on November 23, 2007 and siblings Mary, Margaret, Ann, Sandra, John, Billie and Nick.
She leaves behind her daughters Dorlene and husband Don Parsons of Lakefield, ON and Toni Anderson of Eagan, MN; grandchildren Sherri, Shane, Kelly, Brett and Sean; great grandchildren Isabelle, Paige, Brooklyn, Cole Peter, Nora and Steven as well as several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held in the Summer of 2021.
