

Carl Bauer was born on June 10, 1913 in Munich, Germany to the parents of Otto and Arna Bauer. He was the eldest of two children. Carls younger sister Elizabeth proceeded him in death. Carl immigrated to the United States in 1936 via way of Ellis Island. In 1948 he became a naturalized citizen and he also met and married Arna Martinsen-Bauer, there were no children in that 64 year union and Arna proceeded him in death in 2003. Carl received his Degree in Chemistry from New York State College and work diligently to become the President of Standard Torch Chemicals, until he retired. After retirement Carl moved to Plantation, Florida in the late 80's, he then became a resident at Covenant Village for twenty years. On July 17, 2004 Carl started a new chapter in his life when he married Minnie Quinn-Bauer whom he leaves to mourn along with his step daughter Bretteny Golphin. Carl also leaves his nieces Irene Haberstick of Barnegat, New Jersey, Claudette (Jack) Morrissey of Manchester, New York, Elise Broskie of Moriches, New York and Ellen Nichols of Oakdale, New York. He leaves also his sister in laws Rose (Leroy) Faison, Lula (Willie) Steel, Mary (Eugene) Brooks, Jessie (Rev. Charles) Gadson, Brother In laws Benjamin (Sandra) Quinn, James (Bunny) Wilson, Wilnar Wilson, Kenny Bailey and long time friend of fifty years or more Charlie (Eleanor) Paoli plus a host of other Family member and friends to numerous to mention.
