Carlos Francisco Vallejo

Dr. Carlos Francisco Vallejo died on the frontlines battling COVID-19 in Weston, Fl on August 1, 2020 at the age of 57. Charlie is survived by his wife, Lissette; his children, Gisselle, Charles, and Kevin; and his siblings, Jorge and Freddy. Charlie was born on March 23, 1963 in Havana, Cuba to Dr. Jorge and Gisela Vallejo. He graduated from La Universidad Central de Este in 1987 with a Medical degree. He married Lissette Selem, in 1987. They moved to Chicago, Illinois to complete his residency training in Internal Medicine. They then moved to South Florida where Charlie worked as a Physician for 30 years. The couple had 3 children Gisselle, Charles, and Kevin. His children remember him as their hero and role model who always encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams. Charlie was a well known Physician and was loved by his patients. He was a very generous and kind individual who loved his family, friends and job. He was born and raised Catholic and was dedicated in his faith. A funeral is scheduled for August 7, 2020 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, with the burial to follow at Our Lady of Mercy. Fr. Celsus will officiate the Catholic ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlie’s life.
