Cheryl Ann Gritter

Cheryl Ann Gritter, 74, of Plantation, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, in Hollywood, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 30, 1951, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Edmundo and Elisabella Rosati.

Cheryl made her home in Plantation, Florida, where she built a life centered around love, laughter, and family. She is survived by her devoted husband Tim Gritter, her daughters Traci Mayfield (John) and Tiffany Gritter-Nobile (Frankie), and her adored grandchildren Bella, Brooklyn, and Johnny, who brought endless joy and pride to her life. She is also survived by her two sisters, Donna Pustizzi and Maria Rosati. Along with nieces and nephews; Lisa (Rich), Eddie (Robyn), Joseph (Natalie) and Annemarie; great-nieces and nephews; Matthew, Brandon, Ryan, Abby, Melina, Pierson, and Bennett.

Cheryl will be remembered for her boundless kindness and the way she made friends wherever she went. She had a generous spirit—always thinking of her children and grandchildren, often picking up small gifts or thoughtful surprises simply because they made her think of them.

She found happiness in the simple joys of life: spending time with family, bowling, shopping, traveling, playing the slot machines, and celebrating the holidays—especially her birthday, which she loved to make special each year.

Her warmth, humor, and caring nature touched all who knew her, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy of love.

A funeral service to honor Cheryl’s life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Forest Lawn Cemetery: 2401 Davie Road, Plantation, Florida 33317. The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m., with entombment immediately after.

There will be a celebration of life at 4PM for all that would like to attend at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club located at: 415 E Country Club Circle Plantation, FL 33317

Cheryl will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she so dearly loved.
