

Clenton Gaston Campbell, of North Lauderdale, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29th, 2014. Born in Crofts Hill, Jamaica, October 28th, 1931 to Joseph and Maude Campbell, he lived most of his adult life in the United States in several locations from New York to South Florida.
Clenton was a gentle and charming man who enjoyed reading, gardening, listening to good music, and watching classic films. He was an active member in his church and served in many positions throughout his lifetime from Head Deacon to Minister. His last held position was with his Brotherhood of St Andrew - Episcopal Church of Atonement as Assistant Secretary and a member of the Vestry. In addition to serving his community, he also considered himself somewhat of a novice videographer, documenting many of the momentous family events with his fantastic narrating ability. During his life he held several different occupations, from agricultural labor to selecting the finest furs to make luxurious coats and accessories, and concluded his working years helping people struggling with mental illness, one of his passions.
Clenton loved and was proud of all his children, Ronald Campbell, Wayne Campbell, Letitia Haynes, Alecia Campbell and her husband Akee, and Raymond Campbell and his wife Gina. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Campbell, and his sisters, Gloria Rainford and Seta Alexander, as well as his grandchildren; Miles, David, Cailyn, Anicya, Makayla, Nyomi, Uriah, Nylah, and Yosef. He will be remembered by surviving relatives including, Marjorie Germaine, Sophia Elliot, Michael Campbell, Julian Campbell, his many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and of course his many cherished friends he has gained during his lifetime.
