To Danny, 
I have thought of you so much since you passed. The most painful part is that I spoke to you that day we were planning to go bike again soon. You and I were so excited about our plans to ski this winter. I miss your contagious fiery energy and your complete love for freedom. I loved that you completely owned who you are. I miss you my dear friend. My only regret is that I didn't meet you sooner but I will cherish the adventures that I got share with you. To his family and everyone that loved him, Danny was unlike any person I had ever met. I only knew him briefly this summer but it felt much longer. He was amazing and passionate about every  hobby he pursued.  He had this magnetic light about him too that was so welcoming. We discovered we both had the exact same birthday and cracked up about how alike we were. After hours of talking and laughing I could sense a kindred spirit. We shared stories about life, joy and stories of our pain. It was easy being vulnerable because he listened. I will cherish biking through the mountains with him, watching the sunset from a peaceful place and steering the bike while he took care of the stops because my feet couldn't reach the ground. I believe that wherever his spirit is he knows he is loved and that he touched all of us. 

They say true wisdom can only be gained through experience and I know that just knowing you was one hell of an experience for me. Thank you for all the wisdom that you left in my soul Danny. I’ll never forget the connection we both had through freestyle rap. Being able to enter the flow state with you was like melting into the infinite/universe/god whatever you want to call it. The best jam session we ever had was when you drove your van to Santa Bárbara and we parked next to the ocean and started free styling inside of your van. You were spitting some FIRE brother. I’ll never forget that moment and I’m so happy that we were able to capture it on video. I’ll be watching that anytime I need to fill myself with inspiration. And I know that there really isn’t anywhere you could go. You’re right here right now in this infinite moment and any time I begin to flow I can feel your presence with me big brother. I love you and will keep you in my heart till I see you again 👼.  -Alejo

Danny, pienso en tu partida y te juro que no me lo creo. Sé que teníamos tiempo sin hablar y créeme que en este momento me arrepiento por eso. Me acuerdo de millones de tus locuras y de algunas de las que fui participe jaja… Cuando vivía en Miami estabas pendiente de mí y me ayudabas siempre que te lo pedía. Sé que podía contar contigo para lo que fuera. Hasta me trataste de enseñar a bailar break dance pero no lo logre jaja. También me acuerdo cuando estábamos en tu cocina hablando de la vida y tu manera de verla era admirable. Siempre tenías una sonrisa en la cara y una vibra increíble. Hiciste más en tus 32 años de lo que mucha gente hace en 100… Siempre te recordaré  como mi primo que no le tenía miedo a nada y gracias a eso perseguía sus sueños. Parte #2

El bye bye Aram fue más como un see you later ya que nos reencontramos en Weston pocos años después. En Weston fuimos demasiado afortunados de poder crecer nuestra tribu con los hermanos que conocímos aquí y que hoy nos acompañan. Nunca voy a olvidar un día que estaba en mi nuevo trabajo en Brickell Key y me llamaste al medio día a decirme que me asomara por la ventana viendo hacia el canal entre Brickell Key y Brickell. Estabas en la lancha con unas amigas convenciéndome que me escapara del trabajo para ir al bajo de Key Biscayne. No recuerdo a cual de mis abuelos volví a “matar” ese día como escusa para salir del trabajo por emergencia. El día siguiente llegue insolado al trabajo…

Me siento muy afortunados de tener miles de cuentos así para compartir con ustedes. Daniel, fuiste autentico, feliz, honesto y un amigo increíble. Puede que nos estés aquí físicamente brother pero conmigo vivirá tu recuerdo por siempre y mis hijas y mis nietos sabrán quien eras y estaré seguro de enseñarles a vivir la vida al máximo como lo hiciste tú. Como nos dijo Pololo el otro día, “lo que Daniel vivió en 32 años a nosotros nos tardara 50 o mas años para lograr vivir lo mismo”. 

Cuando estén tristes y quieran sentirse más cerca de Daniel, como decía él: “just get out and play”.

Parte #1

Hace 20 años me estaba mudando para Estados Unidos y Danny me escribió una canción de despedida la cual llamó Bye Bye Aram y se paró en una tarima en nuestro colegio a tocar la guitarra y cantarme la canción con Juani Ermecheo enfrente de todo el colegio. Teníamos apenas 12 años, desde pequeño eras una valiente brother. Hablando con Juani el otro día me dijo que Daniel le enseñó a hacer 2 cosas que le cambiaron la vida por siempre: le enseño a tocar guitarra y a como componer una canción. Hoy, 20 años después de tu single Bye Bye Aram :-) me toca a mi hacerte una dedicatoria. No tengo el talento para cantarte y componerte una canción, pero te escribo esta carta para contarles a los panas algunas de nuestras historias.

En el año 2000 fuimos juntos al campamento, El Lagunazo, cuando teníamos 10 u 11 años.  Como nos divertimos haciendo miles de desastres. Los guías del campamento nos amaban y al mismo tiempo nos querían matar. Uno de los recuerdos más chéveres que tengo del campamento contigo fue el talent show donde nos paramos en una tarima disfrazados de Limp Bizkit engominados y llenos de piercings hechos de papel aluminio a tocar la canción de misión imposible tocando air guitar, air drums y air base. ¡¡La partimos!! Nos lanzamos al público a hacer crowd surfing y todo el mundo se volvió loco con nuestro acto. Ganamos ese show de talento y estoy 100% seguro de que fue gracias a la increíble energía y buena vibra con la que siempre nos contagiabas a todos.

Quien no conoció a Dani? Quien no visito su casa en Savanna? Quien no amaneció rumbeando con el ? O se monto en el infinity a 100 millas por hora ? O termino en un jamming session en su van?  Quien no disfruto de un viaje y gozoooo a lo maximo con este personaje ? 

Dani pudiste hacer lo que ni el Sagemont , ni Cypress Bay, ni ningún high school reunión logró hacer ! Hoy reuniste a tantas personas que tenían probablemente AÑOS sin verse. Aun estando en el cielo, sigues marcando la diferencia. 

Se que estabas ahí pq se respiraba esa buena vibra y esa sensación de estar entre amigos. Esa misma sensación de cuando terminábamos todos en tu casa un 31 de diciembre. 

Fuiste, eres y siempre serás un sol. Haciendo amistades en todos lados y con todo el mundo sin importar las edades. Hasta te volviste amigo de mi papá para hacer triatlones cuando yo ya ni vivía en Weston! 

Tu mensaje es claro - VIVE! Y ESO siempre quedará en mi y en muchas de las personas que te conocimos. 

Gracias por enseñarnos tanto. Tu vida es el mejor ejemplo del mensaje que nos estás dejando - hiciste lo que amabas, sin hacerle daño a nadie y contagiando a todos con esa felicidad y sabrosura que te caracteriza.

Te vamos a extrañar en este plano. Pero te tendré en el corazón y en la mente en todas las aventuras que vienen de ahora en adelante . 

Que placer, que suerte, que BENDICIÓN conocerte !! Adriana y Gilberto hicieron un excelente trabajo contigo.

Dani G! Me haz conectado con gente que nunca mas pensé que volverían a mi vida. Te agradezco por las memorias que me dejaste, y gracias por todas las risas. 
Con cada quien que hablo, sale un recuerdo más, también me he dado cuenta que todo el mundo tiene una canción contigo. De algún recuerdo, de que les recuerda a ti. Pero todos todos tenemos una canción. Quisiera competir la mía, se llama Como yo te Deseo de Mana. Esta canción la escuchamos tú Erika y yo cuando estábamos en middle school. Ustedes en Sagemont yo en Falcon Cove. Nos venias a buscar para pasear por ahí en Savana donde los 3 vivíamos, y esta canción la cantábamos a todo pulmón. Te queríamos ver siempre, tu vibra nos mantenía feliz. Llevaba años sin escucharla, ahora que la pongo se me abre un vacío pesado del pecho al estómago, se me aguan los ojos, pero sonrío te lo juro que sonrío Daniel! Por que en todo momento en todo momento tu me hacías reír, y si pienso en ti, vuelven esos momentos. 
Te quiero, te escribo otra vez pronto no lo dejare de hacer.

You were an amazing person with so much passion and a true inspiration. We shared so many adventures together in the little time we did have. I loved how much you pushed me out of my comfort zone and into the thrill of life. From my first tandem jump off a mountain to our latest adventure traveling to Idaho, to watch you do what brings you so much joy. Even if some of it scared the shit out of me, I still enjoyed seeing you happy. Then we were off to the Grand Tetons, both so excited since we’ve never been. We shared so many laughs, talks along the way, and through it all, always staying so positive and bringing light to every situation, even when I complained about you wanting to run the trail when my feet were hurting, but I did it anyways. These moments I will hold onto forever. I’m so thankful for these times we had, the friends and family I got to meet along the way, and how much of an impact you had on everyone. It brings me so much happiness to have met you. I’m beyond grateful that our paths crossed and I can only pray one day that our paths cross again in another life.

Danny my dear friend ❤️ One of my first friends when I moved to Weston! He always lit up the room with his fun, loving & funny energy. One of my favorite memories with him is one in Las Vegas. I went to Las Vegas with a group of my girlfriends and I arrived the day before everyone else. I was nervous to be there alone because at the time I was only 20 years old. I posted a picture on Instagram and Danny replied! He said he was there too and I was so happy! We met up and he took me out and I had the best time ever! He took me under his wing and brought me to all the coolest places! Honestly it was the best trip ever!  I couldn’t stop laughing with him, he was such a special friend and I will always remember him with a huge smile on his face! 

My sincere condolences, I am so sorry for your loss ❤️ He will always be alive in my heart! 

Attached is a picture of the day we met up in Las Vegas! I will never forget his awsome energy!

Primo,  no tengo palabras... lo que me quedan esos esos recuerdos bonitos que nos dejaste.  Siempre fuiste un junkie de la velocidad y nos marcaste a todos con tus buenas vibras. Recuerdo que en un dia gris tu siempre... siempre veias esa luz que otros no podian ver y nos inundabamos de esas buenas vibras y positivismo.

Te llevas contigo un gran pedazo de nuestros corazones. Siempre te recordaremos con esa gran alegría y sonrisa que te caracterizaba. Llevaste tu vida con gran pasión y la disfrutaste al máximo. Nos dejas recuerdos bellísimos, particularmente nunca olvidare el día que me case eras de mi cortejo y pasaste toda la fiesta agarrado de mi mano,  o la última vez que te vi bailamos tanto y me diste tantas vueltas que hasta nos caímos al suelo.  
Estuviste con nosotros muy poco tiempo, pero nos llenaste de bellísimos recuerdos y de mucho amor, vuela alto mi Dany

Nos enseñaste el significado de libertad. Viviste tu vida al máximo con toda la energía y pasión que tenías. Vamos a extrañar nuestros días en Vail donde lanzabas al grupo por esos lugares secretos que solo tú conocías. Vamos a extrañarte bailando y cantando, vamos a extrañar TODO y cada minuto que compartimos contigo! Te queremos infinito ❤️

I met Danny in Arizona at a site called Merriam Crater, he had just gotten his P2 Paragliding certification and it was his first flight since getting certified to fly without an instructor. He just showed up and hopped in the back of the truck to ride up, full of stoke and energy. Merriam Crater actually kinda stinks to fly, but Danny loved it so much that it didn't even matter - he just loved being in the air and he spread that energy around to everyone around him.

We made a plan to meet up a week or two later in Santa Barbara California and we flew the beautiful mountain site there together. Riding up in the cramped Eagle van, Danny started cracking jokes and got the whole van - probably 15 people all laughing. We shared a thermal together (I think his first thermal ever?), circling each other as we ascended. Later on, a cloud came through and Danny and I both ended up in it - he started singing to let everyone else know where he was since we couldn't see anything!

When we got down he told me about how he wanted to start flying paramotor, mini-wings, BASE - if it flew, he wanted to fly it, and seeing the joy that flying brought him was truly something special.

The last time I saw him was a few weeks ago in Utah. He found me at Point of the Mountain and Gil was with him. After flying we ate an ungodly amount of sushi in his van while he told me about how the whole family was coming out to visit him in the next few days. He seemed so excited to have everyone coming out.

We had talked about how funny it was that we had never flown in Colorado together even though we both lived there and had a plan this winter to fly Bellyache in the morning and ski at Vail in the same day. Skiing and motorcycling were the other topics that would always bring a smile to Danny's face - in addition to flying and family. Those smiles were so contagious - as soon as Danny started smiling, you knew that everyone else would be soon, too. 

Danny, you were one of those crazy-talented humans that just lived life to the fullest and inspired us all to chase whatever it is that makes us feel alive. An athlete of many talents and passions that was always ready for the next adventure. 
You got to experience a life most of us never will and I know that’s what drove you the most. I read a quote recently that said “There are some who simply don’t fear death for they are more afraid of not really living” and it instantly reminded me of you. You were undoubtedly one of those wild souls and boy did you live… I’ll miss you dearly Danny but know that you’ll continue to live in my heart forever. You’ll always be an inspiration to keep that spark burning and always chase the next adventure. I’d say rest in peace but I know you’re not doing any resting up there. Fly high my brother, I love you.

Me parte el corazón saber que te has ido de este mundo tan temprano en tu vida. Tu energía y humor eran incomparables. Que increíble que después de un día de ski nos volvimos tan cercanos. Nunca olvidare nuestras aventuras en la montaña, las largas caminatas en la noche hablando de la vida, las tarde escalando y lo frustrado que te ponías cuando no te podia seguir las rimas. Aun así siempre tenias la paciencia de enseñarme. Hasta tuviste la paciencia de enseñarle a mi papa a volar su drone. Nunca olvidare las noches que bailamos y reímos, esos tickets de lotería que nunca ganamos y las tardes ayudándote en tus quizes de química. Me entristece mucho pensar en todos los años de aventuras y risas que te quedaban y que me hubiera gustado compartir contigo.  
Te quiero mucho y espero algún día volverte a ver. 
Tu recuerdo vivirá siempre en mi corazón y en el corazón de tu familia y amigos que tanto te quieren.

Son muchos los recuerdos , de Daniel el que me quiero llevar conmigo es aquellos días que estaba construyendo su truck para viajar a todos lados y vivir esa experiencia solo de vivir el mundo a su manera .
me impresionó mucho  ver todo el trabajo el estrés que manejo y al final termino todo como lo soñó siendo un ejemplo que los sueños y las ideas se hacen realidad mis respetos a su espíritu de aventurero y esa manera tan simple de enseñarnos que la vida se vive como se quiere no como otros quieren !! Danielito! El delantero y arquero del Colegio Jefferson. Solo el podía hacer goles de chilena y evitar que nos hagan goles. Reflejo de su vida. El ponía sus reglas y disfrutaba el camino. Recuerdo cuando jugábamos en el edificio 707 en La Castellana. Las mejores tardes con el gran pana Danielito!!! 

Mi más sentido pésame a la familia Simón tube la fortuna de conocer a Danny  y compartir unos días en la nieve  gran pérdida 🙁🙁

One time Danny and I got an inflatable pool from his back yard and a broom from his kitchen and decided to use the pool as a boat and the broom as a paddle to cross the lake of the neighborhood he lived in.   Basically like we were like the modern day Christopher Columbus and Américo Vespucci.

Recordárte, escuchar los cuentos de tus amigos, los mensajes, tu fotos en instagram y Facebook , WAO que energía tan magica! 

Vivistes al 💯 , sin miedos, sin limites, sin pausas … sin duda una corta vida …pero QUE VIDA!!!

Una vida intensa, traviesa, creativa, libre, apasionada y a mil por hora!

Tu pasion por los deportes extremos nos hizo a todos sudar … agotador!! Y es que nunca paraste !!! pero nos queda claro que era tu pasion !!! Te fuiste haciendo lo que mas te gustaba y eso en el fondo nos da paz 🙏🏻 

Que bendición fue haber sido parte de un capítulo en tu vida y guiarte en el camino de Real Estate,  que aunque fue corto lo vivistes como todas tus experiencias INTESAMENTE!!! Eras brillante y con un carisma unico!
