Dashawn Arkell Faulkenson was born in Flushing, New York on January 16, 1995. He resided and passed away in Roosevelt, New York on May 4th, 2020. He was 25 years of age. Dashawn was a husband, father, son, grand-son, great-grandson, brother, nephew, friend and a US Marine Veteran.
Dashawn was a loving, selfless and kind person. Spending time with family and friends was important to him. He enjoyed running, cycling, rapping and dancing. He was the life of the party!
On September 09, 2012, while attending high school, he was accepted into The United States Maine Corp Delayed Entry Program. After graduating high school, Dashawn enlisted into The United States Marine Corp as planned. He achieved a Marksman Rifle Qualification Badge and multiple medals: National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in September 28, 2016.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica Faulkenson. He was the loving father of Dashawn Arkell Faulkenson, Jr. and Anthony Liam Faulkenson. He was the loving and devoted son of Claudia and Rodcliff Levy and Gary Faulkenson; brother of Nicholas, Jada, Nia, Ajia, Kamora and Deandre; great-grandson of Frances White and, grandson of Maryann and Neville Heron; nephew of Owen, Claude, Dwight, Andre, Tara, Loxley, Donovan, Michelle, Marcia, Everton, Oniel, and Michael. He Will be missed by special friend Nave, his loving cousins, other family members and friends.
Dashawn, your goofy self and infectious smile will truly be missed, and your children will never go without our continuous love and support.
