Hola Mommacita,
Six months ago today I lost you, my mother, friend, confidant and advisor! It has not been easy but as you always said one day at a time Lord Jesus! I learned so much from you & daddy and am trying feverishly to continue to be that person. You are loved & missed daily. Thanks for being my MOM!

Dear Aunt Elecia
I thank God for you and I thank God for happy childhood memories. Spending summers at Tieman ave.  You, Aunt Gay and Uncle Ozzie were such an integral part of my life. Not only did you help raise Gracie and myself but you also helped raise my sons. God bless you always  and may you rest in peace. I know you are in a better place reunited with Mommy, Uncle Ozzie and  Aunt  Gay in Glory.   I will end this message with what we would say at the end of every phone call "I love you"

Well i mostly remember long weeks in the Bronx...missing my mommy...but playing with ALL of my cousins and being around Grandpa..PaPa....and Grandma Lily....Aunt Elicia and Uncle Ossie's home was the Mecca...they took care of us all...love.

I cannot begin to fathom what you are going through. I know your heart is hurting but I pray the comfort of God will help you through this difficult time. Remember this too shall pass and in time you'll be able to remember the good times and her memories will continue to live in your hearts.

To Ms. Edith Cox, it was a pleasure meeting you and I enjoy the moments we share. You will truly be missed and I know your in a better place. On that special day you will be looking down on your granddaughter when she walk down the aisle, as you always wished. May your memories give you peace and comfort. To the family, my heart are saddened by your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

To My Mother In Law,  Thank you for being you, thank you for your love and support always. It was an honor to be your daughter in law. You will be in my heart always and forever. Thank you for the greatest gift of all you gave to me my Derrick.

Dear Aunt Elesia, You were always so full of life, took time out for me and made me smile. You and Uncle Ossie were solid friends to my parents and and remained strong supports for me when they passed. I have enjoyed having you in my life and I wish you Peace with Uncle Ossie. I will miss visiting with you when I am in Florida.

I understand the pain and hurt you feel. I know how at one moment you are sobbing at the fact that she is physically gone and another moment you are laughing at something funny she did. I want you all to know that when you love someone you can never truly lose them. They are always with you.

I know how terribly you must miss her but think about how happy she must be now. No more suffering, no more pain. Mama Edith was blessed to live a full life. She in now in a far more beautiful place than the rest of us and is smiling down on you all. 

As you go through this difficult time keep your faith and your memories of her. They will help you along the way.

We only met a few times but it was enough for me to see what a beautiful joyous person you were. Your family would rejoice to see the Angel they have gained. I am very thankful to have met you.

Although I did not have the honor of knowing your mother personally, I have spent time with you, Lileth, and have come to know of your infinite dedication and devotion to your loving mother. To my dearest grandmother, I will miss you so much. I still get the urge to call and check up on you but then I remember you are no longer here. Although I will not get to see you in flesh I will always hear your voice and remember your smile. No matter what decisions I've made in life you've never judged me. You've always given me words of encouragement and support. You are terribly missed. I know that Grampy, Aunt Gay, Aunt Bernice, Uncle Reggie and Grandma Lily are all happy to be reunited with you again. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS!

I will miss hearing that you've asked for me. I'm so happy I was able to see you one last time & spend time with you. I will always remember your kindness & how warm you made me feel everytime I was around. Times changes, but memories will never fade away. You will be truly missed & never forgotten. Ms. Edith! Over the past few years, we'd exchanged simple, but pleasant greetings and your number 1 question would always be, "Where's your boss?" in reference to my now 3-year old daughter. Within the recent time that I'd been given the opportunity to spend with you, our content of conversation had changed. Not necessarily by quantity, but in it's quality. I would express my own love while sending love from the one who couldn't. It wasn't too long ago you'd asked me a very important question that I didn't quite have the answer to yet. I hope that in the future, I can answer that question in your favor. You've run a great race in which you deserve to rest peacefully.

Although we lived so far apart, you were always close within our hearts. Our memories of you will remain with us forever, but now you and grandpa can finally be together. We love you and you will be with us forever in our hearts.

So many words describe all you have been to me over the years but MOTHER, friend, confidant, teacher, phenomenal & hero are just a few that come to mind.
I want to thank you for ALWAYS being there for me, then still having enough strength to be there for others. 
I pray that I can be half the woman that you were and continue your's and daddy's legacy of being a light for others.
