

Edward was born in Chicago, IL to Josephine C. (nee Czaja) and John S. Kusiak on May 3, 1926. He went to school in Chicago, IL and graduated from Foreman High School there in 1944 and was soon inducted in the U.S. Army.
He is a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army; he qualified as rifleman in the 3rd Infantry and attained the rank of Private First Class. He was awarded the Victory Medal, European African Middle East Theatre Ribbon with Bronze Battle Star, two Overseas Service Bars, the Army Occupation Medal – Germany, Good Conduct Medal, and the Purple Heart Medal, for wounds in action in Germany on March 15, 1945.
Following his discharge from the Army, Edward returned to Chicago and was employed as a skilled metal worker/craftsman, got married and later started his own business. He also owned rental properties. Several years after his second marriage, he relocated to South Florida in the mid-1970s when he purchased and operated a beach front rental property. He also started several businesses and owned rental properties.
Edward is preceded in death by both of his parents, the untimely passing of his first wife Rosetta Christine Kusiak (nee Grana), his second wife, Betty Jane Kusiak (nee Baron) and his only son Gary Edward Kusiak. He is also preceded in death by all of his four older siblings and their spouses – his brother Harry Kusiak and Irene (nee Konsiewicz), his sister Josephine Kusiak, his sister Eleanor/Barbara Ludwig (nee Kusiak) and Howard Ludwig, and Florence Carlino (nee Kusiak) and Charles Carlino. Edward’s predeceased siblings gave him quite a few nieces and nephews as well as grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

An inurnment for Edward will occur at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317 at a future date to be announced.
