Today is the  anniversary of Manny's passing.  He was a great friend and just a wonderful all around great guy.  I hope he's hanging out with my beloved husband, Alfred E. Locascio.  Prayers to Maryanne and the entire family.

His Dad and then he was our landlord when we had our monument shop in the Bronx. Always a straight shooter, a gentleman. Rest in Peace.

A man of few words, until he had something to say. “Manny” Emanuel Ciminello, was one of the most thoughtful and generous people I have ever known. We only knew each other from his favorite local Italian restaurant, Pomodoro. He never failed to offer his friendship, a laugh, a glass of wine or whatever I was drinking. He shared his family and friends as freely as he did anything else and immediately and warmly made  you feel like one of them. Manny, you will be missed and remembered with all the heart, love and grace you deserve. I hope I can continue to share your memories with your family wherever and whenever our paths cross.

Back in the day  I would always see Mr. Cimenello in Joe Nina’s. The moment I would walk in you would know right away he was there. He just lit the place up with his smile and charisma. Always had a funny story to tell. Didn’t matter where I bumped into Manny, he always had that smile on his face. When I was younger and would see him on a job site, I had seen a different person. He was tough on the job. Being young it was hard to distinguish seeing the difference from job site to personal. I grew to understand the difference and why he became a very successful person. It taught me something but what I learned the most was Manny was a gentle, fun, loving person and I will always remember him for that. The Ciminello family are very blessed to have a man like that to lead there family. It’s clear the entire family inherited that beautiful personality. Our sincere condolences to Mrs. Ciminello and the entire family 💔🙏🏼

So very sorry to learn of Manny's passing.  It was my great privilege and pleasure of knowing  him for over 30 years.  What started as a business relationship endured as a friendship.  
Manny was an astute businessman at ease in the boardroom or on a construction site.  Seeing him negotiate was a marvel. He approached things with wit, charm and a razor focus on a positive outcome. Early on it became clear that  Manny played chess while most were playing checkers. He saw the big picture and always saw the goal line.   It was always wise to be on his side of the table. 
Once Manny took your measure, if you were genuine and earnest, he became you friend, advisor and protector.  
He'd impart great knowledge with a sip of a cocktail and a wry grin.  Most memorable Manny-isms:
"Play the long game" 
"Triple net leases"
"Everything's negotiable"
"Never Pay Retail"
I shall miss our annual birthday calls, lunch at "his spot" and hearing of his latest escapades.

I am so sorry. Uncle Manny was as much a father, uncle and family member as any of my own. Growing up I remember the get togethers and our family’s were always together. From when me and manny were in diapers, to high school proms with Manny and Maryanne to as recently as when uncle Manny would visit me at Trattoria 632 and always had a smile and fatherly wisdom to share. I will miss him and send my deepest condolences to his family. I love you all and will always be available  to share some stories about a man who left who left too soon and taught me how to be a better father, son, nephew and friend  I will miss him. . The picture above is a memory I look back on fondly.  Easter dinner together in 2016. We happen to both be in Disney and Mr C invited me and my daughter to join them so we would  eat with family on the holiday.  He was the best! ❤️

Manny was someone I feared and respected as a child and later in life when I got to know him loved and respected even more. I was lucky enough to grow up with all his children who I do not see as often as I like but still consider them family. Tommy I have known for close to 38 years now and as a childhood best friend. So I feel his pain as I lost my father already as well.  Knowing Mr. C he is probably at that black jack table in the sky already with a gray goose on the rocks by his side. He lived a life that we should all be able to and all be proud to say we knew him.
