Ethel was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert N. Badgley.
Born in Yonkers, New York, Ethel moved to Fort Lauderdale as a young girl in the 1930s. She graduated from St. Anthony’s Catholic School in 1944 and began working at the Army Air Corps Base in Boca Raton. In 1950, she married Bob Badgley, and together they settled in Pompano Beach to raise their family.
Ethel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest joy in time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Besides her family, Ethel was passionate about caring for animals, often rescuing sick and injured cats, raccoons, birds, and any other creatures that needed her help. Her compassion and gentle nature touched not only those she loved, but every living being fortunate enough to cross her path.
Her warmth, faith, and unwavering love will be forever remembered by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Saturday, October 18, at 12:00 noon, followed by interment at Pompano Beach Cemetery.
