Frank D. Torres, Jr., 64, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2020. Frank served his country in the United States Marine Corp for over 21 years receiving multiple commendations and medals including the Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for his act of heroism. For the past 37 years, Frank's passion in life has been to help kids find their path in life through recruiting for the Marine Corp, DeVry and UTI.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years whom he loved dearly, Rebecca. He is further survived by his parents, Frank Sr. and Maria Torres, brothers, Daniel (Patricia) and David, his sons, Frank (Brea) and Greg (Breanne), his grandchildren, Kaylee, Madison, Ellie, and Gabriel, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and beloved fur babies.
Frank had a larger-than-life personality with a heart the size of California. He had a positive effect on anyone he came in contact with. Frank loved being on the water with family and friends with an occasional chilled shot of Patron. When he was not boating, you could find Frank in his chair with a bowl of popcorn and a cup of cherry Kool-Aid (with lots of ice) watching a good Western while texting those he loved often asking, "Ur Thoughts?".
There were no strangers in his life. He was one of a kind, and to know him was to love him. He will be missed by all.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 from 1 pm-2:30 pm. This will be followed by a Life Celebration Funeral Service for Frank starting at 2:30 pm.
