In Loving Memory of Joseph Edgar Wilson

Joseph (Joe) Edgar Wilson, a dedicated husband, father, and mentor, passed away on June 8, 2023, at the age of 73. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, selflessness, and devotion to his family. Joe was born on September 5, 1949, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Marvin and Marie Wilson. He was one of three siblings, survived by his brother, Butch, and his late sister, Karen. Joe began his career as a skilled carpenter and later found fulfillment as a respiratory therapist - a lifework marked with care and compassion.

Above all, Joe treasured his roles as a husband and father. His 48-year marriage to Paula exemplified enduring love, commitment, and mutual support. Their unbreakable bond served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Joe's dedication to his son, Joey, was unwavering, always prioritizing his relationship with his wife and son above all else. He also acted as a father figure and mentor to many over the years, offering guidance, support, and unwavering love.

Joe found immense joy in spending time with his cherished grandchildren, Caleb and Benjamin. Their presence brought him immeasurable happiness and added an extra layer of love to his life.

Joe had an unshakable faith in Jesus Christ and believed wholeheartedly in God's promises. His relationship with his Savior provided strength, guidance, and hope throughout his life. Joe's unwavering trust in God's sovereignty served as an inspiration to all who knew him.

Joe was an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in the pages of countless books. He had a passion for sports and enjoyed spending time with his family supporting the Gators and other Florida sports teams.

Those fortunate enough to have known Joe will forever cherish his memory. His love, selflessness, and commitment to family and faith will continue to inspire and guide us. We find great comfort in knowing that he has found eternal peace in the arms of his Heavenly Father.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Paula, his adoring son, Joey, his cherished grandchildren, Caleb and Benjamin, his daughter-in-law, Erika, his brother, Butch, and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. May his soul rest with His Heavenly Father, and may his legacy of love and devotion resonate in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven.
