

As a young man, Papy enjoyed horseback riding and playing baseball.
Once the family settled in Miami, he met the love of his life, Ana Elsa Rodriguez. On June 17, 1951 they were married in Cayey, Puerto Rico and they went to Havana, Cuba for their honeymoon. They had 2 daughters, Minet and Mayda, 5 grandchildren, Jenny, Monica, Andy, Adam and Kenny and 4 great grandchildren, Abby, Lando, Diego and Antonio. He was a sentimental man and was very devoted to his family. He was also an extremely hard worker. During his working years he owned a fine furniture refinishing business.
Papy and Ana loved to fish, bowl and dance.
Papy was a baseball fanatic and taught his grandsons to play baseball. He loved following the Miami Marlins.
Papy loved to cook and left his delicious recipes for the family to enjoy!
Papy made many great friends after retirement such as Irma Bermudez, Juan Jose Serrano, Segundo Garcia, Steve Bobb and all his gym buddies (even "The Rock").
Papy enjoyed playing the guitar, dominoes and traveling. He especially loved visiting the Smoky Mountains and cruising to the Caribbean.
Papy passed away at home on January 27, 2015.
Papy will truly be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
