Justin Prasad, affectionately known as Unnikuttan, was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and grandson. He went home to be with his Savior on December 12, 2025. Born in India on November 26, 1991, Justin’s life was marked by both profound challenges and even greater faith.
From birth, Justin faced significant health struggles, including Down syndrome and serious heart and lung conditions. Doctors initially gave him only months to live, yet he far surpassed every expectation set by man—truly a walking miracle. Through every trial, Justin displayed remarkable resilience, hope, and quiet strength. His life stood as a testimony that true joy and purpose are not found in physical ability, but in faith, love, and trust in God.
Justin’s life was deeply centered on family and faith. Due to his physical limitations, he depended greatly on his devoted parents, whose unwavering love and care shaped his daily life. He was dearly loved by his brothers, Prestin and Christopher, and shared a close and affectionate bond with them.
Justin was also very close to Saumya, Prestin’s wife, and their relationship was marked by meaningful conversations about faith, culture, and family. He delighted deeply in his role as an uncle, adoring his niece, Hannah, and nephew, Nathaniel. Whenever they visited, Justin would eagerly play with them and cherish every moment spent together.
Justin shared a particularly close bond with his grandfather, who stayed in the room next to his at his parents’ home. Seeing each other multiple times each day, their constant presence in one another’s lives fostered a quiet, loving companionship that was a great source of comfort and familiarity for them both.
Beyond his immediate household, Justin maintained close relationships with family and friends in both India and the United States. Notably, his grandmother in India was often the first person mentioned in his prayers, followed by his uncles, aunts, and cousins—each remembered faithfully and lovingly.
A man of deep and unwavering faith, Justin loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. He never missed a church service—faithfully attending in person when able, and later joining by Zoom without fail when he could no longer travel. He treasured the Word of God and often spoke from familiar Bible stories, joyfully sharing what he had learned. It became a cherished family tradition for Justin to deliver a 15-minute message during family prayer time, reflecting his love for Scripture and his desire to speak about God.
Music was another great joy in Justin’s life. He loved listening to Christian songs and was a devoted fan of Christian music artists, finding peace, worship, and encouragement through music that exalted his Savior.
All who knew Justin will remember him as humble, gentle, likable, and faith-filled. Though his life involved many physical limitations, it was rich with eternal purpose.
Today, Justin’s family rests in the blessed hope that he is now free from pain and weakness, resting in the presence of his Savior. They rejoice in the promise that they will see him again when they reach the other shore.
Justin’s family desires that everyone who reads this would know the same assurance that sustained him: salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that Jesus died to pay for our sins and guarantees eternal life to all who place their trust in Him. As you remember Justin, the family invites you to consider this eternal question: Do you know Jesus?
