To the Angulo Family, we are so very sorry for the tremendous loss of beautiful Liza.  As a fellow Heritage family, we are deeply saddened by this tragedy.  May your strong faith guide you through the darkest moments knowing that Liza's spirit and essence remain in each of us.

i just found out Liza was my aunts cousin. My son took classes with Liza and were casual friends. Liza and my son never shared the fact they where related. This is how we will remember Liza, a beautiful, kind, gentle soul, that was full of life. She was a young lady who loved animals & her community. She was a very rare find to have around as she always wore a smile on her face. She was dedicated to her community and making it better. She loved horses and volunteered at F.R.I.E.N.D.S. for several years. She and her girlfriend started "Funds for F.R.I.E.N.D.S" in an effort to raise funds for the horses. She sold bracelets to raise funds, made and sold lemonade at our yard sale and attended our fundraising events in an effort to help raise funds for the horses. She will be missed by so many and remain in our hearts forever young. In life she was an angel so I know she is soaring in heaven now. Fly free Aliza and God Speed. Our heart felt condolences go out to her family Miguel, Maria and Angee and we pray that God will give them the strength to endure this horrible loss.

Short time with us but a HUGE impact on so many. Your school family mourns with you.

When I am running late and things just aren't going my way, I always tell myself that things happen for a reason. Whether it be taking the wrong exit, or forgetting something and having to turn around, having to put gas when you're already running late or even snoozing your alarm clock essentially causing you to be late; I have always trusted in God's judgment and trusted that he knew exactly what he was doing. However, I don't always clearly understand why God does the things he does. I don't know why bad things sometimes happen to good people, and I still do not understand why such a beautiful young lady was taken from us so early. It's crazy to think that just a few weeks ago Liza and I were discussing how excited we were to start college and begin the next chapters of our life. We had agreed to make up for lost time over the summer and laughed over the fact that we were soon graduating. Then I heard the devastating news that I didn't and still don't want to believe; I heard that Liza had been taken from us. Over the past couple of days I started to realize something that I had always kept in mind but never truly paid much attention to. Life is too short for all of us. It is too short to live with regrets; too short to be unhappy and definitely to short to not enjoy it. The thing about Liza is that she always had a smile on her face. Even when stressing about a test in our next period or worrying about not making a yearbook deadline on time, her laugh would always lighten the mood and cheer everyone up. She would always speak her mind, fight for what she believed in, she did things with good intentions, she was passionate, she was loving, she was studious and intelligent, she was dedicated in all she did, and most importantly, Liza was an amazing friend to all. Liza and I may not have been the closest of friends, but I know that had I needed her to be there for me, she would have. I want to send my deepest regards to the rest of her friends and send my sincere condolences to her family. Heaven has truly gained a beautiful angel who will be watching over all of us from a better place. Thank you for the great memories and friendship; may you truly rest in peace beautiful. I love you, we all do.

As an everyday commuter on I75;   as a mother of four girls I did not know your daughter.  I was driving north and I saw the white BMW on the flatbed, and I was so impressed by what I saw.  When I learned of such tragedy I could not stop thinking about your daughter.  I want to extend my most deepest condolences to you and to all your friends and family. I am so sorry for your loss. May God grant you all the strength to move forward. She is in heaven and will always be watching over you. Be strong.

The first time I met you it was at a NOH8 meeting. Both my brother and I went and i listened in silence while my brother went on about accepting yourself and other things. You were the one that made me feel comfortable in the club that allowed me to express my thoughts because you did not judge or criticized. You listened and understood. I met you again at PSAT classes. You were one of my helpers and from time to time would give us peptalks. I remember, the week of the exam you talked to us, saying how we shouldn't freak out and get nervous. We should try our best by getting a good night's sleep and breakfast. You gave me inspiration that national merit wasn't far from my grasp and I had hope. 

A few days ago, such a kind, beautiful human being had to leave us. She was strong, intelligent, and selfless. Regards to your family to have to go through what parents shouldn't have to go through. But know that, a time will come when all of us are reunited with you, Liza. Watch your family and friends from above. Guide them and show them that this terrible time will pass but you will always be remembered with a smile on your face.

My son said Lisa was his PSAT mentor, and he's been too upset to talk about Lisa in the past tense. My heart sank when I heard the news from my son, as I cannot possibly fathom the shock and sorrow for the parents/family. Death is a thief in the night, and I cannot understand why it picks who, and when. I just hope that time will heal your pain. I also believe that Lisa felt your love all the way to her final destiny; may love help you get through this time of indescribable sadness.

I am currently a sophomore at American Heritage. You don't know me, and the extent of our conversation is just a view words, but your passing has made a big impact on me. I was walking with my friend after my first hour exam when I heard about you. I didn't think it could be true. Losing someone from Heritage was sad. I saw the many social media posts, the poem written, the collages made, but it wasn't until I saw the time and location of your funeral that it finally hit me. You are gone. Just like that. In a blink of an eye, you were taken from this Earth so sone. You shouldn't have been, you were doing nothing wrong. You just graduated from high school, and you had your whole life ahead of you. You opened my eyes, and showed me to cherish every moment and live life to the fullest. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and friends. Liza Angulo, may you rest in peace and have a great time in heaven. You were a life taken too soon, but you'll make a beautiful angel.

I remember this young lady as a very vibrant young lady with a smile that lit up the room. I was her bus driver last year for late run from American Heritage, I can only send my condolences to her family, as losing a child is so hard to do, God bless them all and may He keep His healing hand on them in this very difficult time.

I was her pediatrician since she was a little girl. She would come down to Miami at least once a year with her mom, always join you in a pleasant conversation, full of smiles. I`ve felt moments of desperation since yesterday morning; so difficult to work yesterday. My thoughts are with her mom in this unimaginably difficult time.

I did not know Liza, but my heart hurts to see this trajedy,  may she rest in peace till you meet again. May God hold all of you in his arms to give you strenth.

Liza always brightened everyone's day with one flash of her beautiful smile! Although she was so suddenly and tragically taken from us, Liza's warmth and kindness will live on forever in the memories of not only the Class of 2015 but beyond. My heart is breaking for Liza's family. I knew of Liza as my daughter graduated with her and they both have red hair. Parents of redheads always notice other redheads. She was always full of life, energy, and smiles. May beautiful and vibrant Liza rest in peace. Heaven gained an angel who will be deeply missed here on Earth.
