Born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, Madeline attended Lincoln High School and went on to build a long and successful career with Block Drug Company, steadily climbing the corporate ladder through her dedication, intelligence, and incredible work ethic. In 2001, she moved to Florida, where she continued her professional success as a claims adjuster with Universal Insurance.
Madeline was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving sisters Catherine Bonavita and Rita Cerchio, her brother and sister-in-law Dominick and Carolyn Cerchio, and her cherished cousin Debbie Pacia. She will always be remembered with love by her nieces and nephews, Victoria Patricolo, Vincent Bonavita, David Cerchio, Diana Cerchio, and Michael Cerchio. She is predeceased by her parent,s David and Theresa Cerchio, and her beloved Aunt Helen Pacia, whom she loved dearly.
Madeline lived life fully and joyfully. She adored the excitement of the casino, especially the poker machines and slots, which brought her so much fun and laughter. She had an incredible gift for storytelling, always able to turn everyday moments into something memorable and hilarious. She was a mentor, a voice of reason, a steady guide when you needed advice, and the person who could instantly make you feel special and part of the “in-crowd” just by being near her. Her laugh was rich, her smile bright, and her presence unforgettable.
A woman of faith, Madeline was a proud Catholic. She never missed a family gathering and loved sharing food, tradition, and time with the people she cherished most. She was especially proud of her Italian heritage and she enjoyed cooking.
Madeline also had a passion for football, and whenever she could, she was in the stands cheering on her nephews at their high school and college games, always an enthusiastic supporter.
Above all, Madeline adored her siblings. She treasured every dinner, getaway, cruise, and casino adventure they shared. Their bond was unbreakable, and she leaves them with memories of laughter, love, and a lifetime of togetherness. We pray for their strength as they carry her forward in their hearts.
Madeline’s warmth, humor, strength, and love will forever remain with all who were blessed to know her.
