Mammen Korah

Ponnachen was born in Mannarathara, Kerala to Annamma and Chacko Korah on November 1955. Ponnachen graduated from Kerala University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Ponnachen was in Bahrain for 10 years before migrating to the United Sates. Ponnachen married Lizy Jacob on August 1982 in Kerala. Ponnachen worked for United States Postal Service for fifteen years.

Ponnachen is preceded in death by his late siblings (P.K. Samuel, Podiyamma Puthoor, Aleyamma Varghese, & Mary John). He is survived by wife (Lizy Korah), daughter/son-in-law (Karoline & Dino Jameson), son/daughter-in-law/grandson (Kevin/Caroline/Lucas Korah), son (Justin Korah), siblings of Ambattu Punnavelil family (T. K. Chacko, T.K. Kurian, Thankamma James, and Ponnamama Alexander).

Ponnachen was a godly man, loving husband, and compassionate father. He sought to serve the Lord in everything he did. He was a hard worker who never liked sitting idle. For as long as he was physically able, he was a humble servant in the local assembly. His Sunday School students remember how he honored the word of God and lived out the words he taught. He remained steadfast in his faith throughout his life.

- Viewing Service

o Date/Time: Saturday, December 10th, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

o Location: Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317

o Details: An informal viewing service at the Heron room next to the pyramid building. There will be no organized program during this time. This service will be primarily for those who will be unable to be with the family on Monday morning for the planned homegoing service.

Memorial Service

o Date/Time: Sunday, December 11th, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

o Location: Believers Assembly of South Florida (BASF), 6565 Stirling Rd, Davie, FL 33314

o Description: A memorial service at the BASF Assembly Hall. This will be an opportunity for all loved ones including family from overseas to share memories and condolences. This service will be conducted in person and via

Homegoing Service

o Date/Time: Monday, December 12th, 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM

o Location: Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317

o Description: Homegoing service at the Heron room next to the pyramid building. There will be viewing between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. Homegoing service will be between 9:00 AM and 11 AM.

Committal Service

o Date/Time: Monday, December 12th, 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM

o Location: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317

o Description: Committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a late lunch available at the BASF Assembly Hall following the homegoing service. For those that cannot make it to the homegoing service can watch the service live via https://youtu.be/R1se73dSjRA.
