Marta was born in Puerto Cortez, Honduras. She moved to New York in 1957 and worked as a seamstress for 45 years before retiring and later moving to South Florida to live with her daughter Marta Ortiz. Marta enjoyed spending time with her family, but mostly enjoyed being an Abuelita.
She is survived by her daughter Marta Ortiz and son-in-law Alejandro Ortiz, grandchildren Alan Tabora, Claudina Duval and Ronny Tabora , along with her beloved great grandchildren Emma, Mason, Chloe and Lucas.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 1st 2024, from 5-9 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Davie Rd. Davie, FL 33317.
Marta will be lovingly remembered by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
