

Martin Augustine Villano, age 89 died Sunday February 22, 2015 at his home in Davie FL. He was born April 8, 1925 in Netcong, NJ. He is the son of the late Luigi and Anna (Esposito) Villano. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Gwendolyn (Chadwick) Villano and daughter Rose Ann Villano.
Martin served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Ingersol (DD 652) from 1943 to 1947.
He was a construction worker for the US Railroad while attending Netcong High School in NJ and was employed by Florida Power & Light where he retired in 1982 after 32 years of dedicated employment. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic in Davie and the National Association of Destroyer Veterans known as the “Tin Can Sailors”.
He is survived by 2 daughters; Elizabeth Murphy (Edward) Anna Roe (Terry) and son Louis Villano (Pamela). 8 grandchildren; Edward, Matthew, Carly, Christopher (Michele), David, Tara, Gillian and Thomas. 4 great grandchildren; Bridgette, Braedon, Brooklyn and Bria.
2 brothers; Joseph and Michael.
A funeral service will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Davie, March 7 at 9:00am. Burial with Military Honors will be in Tenants Harbor Maine with his beloved Wife, Gwendolyn and Daughter Rose Ann.
