Michael Nickles

Michael is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Michele Nickles and Wayne Carson, Leslie Haines and Marilyn Manley; his grandchildren, Howard Haines, Jennifer Abbagnaro, and Mikayla Manley; his great grandchildren Griffin and Meagan Abbagnaro; and his great great grandson Finn Abbagnaro. He was predeceased by his wife, Cecile Pauline Nickles.

Michael was born June 1, 1918 to Demitri and Anna Lakusta and was raised and educated in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a member of the Army Air Corp from 1942-1946, and was a loving husband to his wife Cecilia for 68 years.

He started his own business, Hialeah Metal Spinning, and continued as a consultant in the industry after the sale of his business. Michael always enjoyed golfing and traveling as well as spending time with his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7 from 3-7pm at the Kraeer-Fairchild funeral home. Michael's funeral service will commence on Monday morning October 8 at 8:30am at St. Coleman Catholic Church. There will be a private burial at the South Florida National Cemetery with military honors conferred by the Unites States Army.
