Michele Cutone, age 89, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, leaving behind a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who loved him. He was born on January 6, 1937, in Cantalupo, Italy—a place he carried with him in spirit throughout his life.
Michele found deep joy in life’s simplest moments—the comfort of home, familiar routines, and the quiet presence of those he loved. He cherished watching classic westerns, especially Bonanza, and could often be found enjoying The Godfather series or the Italian Channel, finding connection in the language and culture of his roots.
A man of remarkable skill and pride in his work, Michele dedicated himself to furniture and marble repair, always working with his hands and his heart. In Montreal, he and his beloved wife built a life together, owning and operating an Italian espresso bar for over 20 years. It was more than a business—it was a reflection of who he was: warm, welcoming, hardworking, and full of life. He found happiness in sharing a good glass of red wine, a delicious meal, and the company of family and friends, especially at his favorite places, Sicilian Oven and Umberto’s.
Above all, Michele was a man of deep faith, unwavering devotion, and boundless love for his family. A devoted Catholic, he was the heart and strength of his home—a loving husband to Raffaela, a proud and caring father to Antonio and Anna, and a deeply cherished Nonno to Erick Michael and Jacqueline. His love was steady, his presence comforting, and his guidance a gift that will be carried on forever.
Though our hearts are broken and the loss feels immeasurable, we take comfort in the love he gave so freely and the memories that will live on within us always. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 at the KRAEER - FAIRCHILD FUNERAL HOME, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Michele's funeral service and celebration of life will commence on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 10:30 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4595 Bayview Drive.
