Mohanlall Sukhwa

Ivan is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Chandra, and his three children, Mahen, Radesh, and Debbie. Ivan is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Krishna, Crystal, Neil, Nathalie, Tabby, Melina, Vidya and one great grandchild, Elaina. He is preceded in death by his father, Satan Sukhwa also known as Cackum of Letter Kenny Village and his mother, Chandrauwati Sukhwa of Letter Kenny Village.

Mohanlall was born on November 20, 1948 to parents Cackum and Chando Sukhwa of Letter Kenny Village. Throughout his lifetime, he worked in various roles including agriculture supervision, the rice industry, as a gas lamp technician, a cane cutter in Guyana, a grocery store worker and a security guard.

He married Chandra on January 31, 1971 and later had three children - Mahen, Radesh and Debbie. Ivan was a loving husband and father. Later, when Ivan became a grandfather he shared his joy, laughter, and smile with all. Ivan was a great friend to many and always brought a smile to everyone’s face. He enjoyed listening to bhajans and Indian music and offering his Sunday prayers weekly. He was fond of drinking his morning tea and spending time outdoors. Ivan enjoyed traveling by cruises and visiting Guyana annually. He was so loved and will be missed dearly by all.

A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 3pm-6pm with a gathering to follow at Ivan and Chandra’s home located at 12364 SW 254th Terrace Princeton, FL 33032. The funeral will take place at Forest Lawn South Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens located at 2401 Davie Road Davie, FL 33317. The final service and cremation will take place on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 10am to 12pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ivan’s life. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home or Chandra’s home.
